Marginalized youth, particularly those from Roma communities and other vulnerable groups, often face unique mental health challenges due to social exclusion, discrimination, and limited access to resources. These young people are at higher risk of developing mental health issues due to compounded stressors such as poverty, unstable living conditions, lack of educational opportunities, and societal stigma. Despite these
challenges, they frequently encounter barriers to receiving the support they need. The webinar “Addressing Mental Health in Marginalized Youth” will shed light on the specific mental health challenges faced by marginalized youth, providing educators, mental health practitioners, and
community workers with valuable insights and practical strategies. By fostering understanding and sharing best practices, we hope to build a more inclusive and supportive environment for all young people, empowering them to overcome challenges and thrive.

The webinar is organised as part of the MEET project, that aims to build capacities for youth mental health promotion in formal and nonformal education and training through the development of inclusive and innovative tools and materials. As a result, the project will help to combat mental health problems among young people and enable a better educated workforce and contribute to reduced labour shortages.
